I am dedicated to life-long learning and enhancing my boad experience through focused training and certification. I have concentrated my certifications around Continuous Improvement. At each stage of training and certification, I develop a broad base of experience and build on that for the next certification.

  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Level 1

    Date: September, 2009

    Agency: Accenture Federal Services / George Group

    Description: in an effort to standardize expertise, Accenture confirmed certs from different agencies for the MBB staff it inherited from George Group and designed a three tier system to identify capabilities if the individual. Level 3 is an entry-level position. Level 2 is an experienced practitioner. A Level 1 Master Black Belt is a strategic deployment manager and thought leader.

  • DoD Secret Clearance

    Date: November, 2007

    Agency: US Army (JFAS)

    Description: US Department of Defense Secret clearance.

  • Toyota Production System Lean Master

    Date: May, 2007

    Agency: Seagate Technologies, LLC

    Description: The Lean Master at Seagate is an answer to managing the transactional processes that its Six Sigma program did not effectively address. Training was given only to certified Black Belts and was considered an alternate path to a formal Master Black Belt.

  • Theory of Constraints Instructor

    Date: April, 2006

    Agency:Seagate Technologies, LLC

    Description: During Transactional Black Belt training at Seagate, a small section of Theory of Constraints was introduced. Expanding on this, I helped develop a series of TOC curriculum and trained Black Belt and Lean Master candidates. Seagate never fully adopted Theory of Constraints, but I expanded upon it for use in multiple clients as well as integrating it into my "Capability Management" curriculum.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt - Transactional

    Date: April, 2005

    Agency: Seagate Technologies, LLC

    Description: Following years of manufacturing emphasis with the Six Sigma program, the company revamped their Black Belt training to have two different paths: Operational and Transactional. The transactional training emphasized process mapping and business process re-engineering. I was working in IT services and took this training to better serve my department.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt - Operational

    Date: October, 2002

    Agency: Seagate Technologies, LLC

    Description: After taking Six Sigma classes from Motorola for years, Seagate developed its own curriculum for manufacturing Six Sigma. Emphasis was on statistical analysis and production metrics.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt

    Date: August, 2001

    Agency: Seagate Technologies, LLC

    Description: All managers and promotable managers were required to take Six Sigma training. This class emphasized mentorship and making improvements with your immediate staff and department.
